The once problematic get-rich-quick Ponzi scheme known as “Super Life” (https://superlifeuganda.websites.co.in/) is once again being promoted by social media stars and YouTubers. Several Ugandans have lost money in this scheme, and although some of the promoters have been arrested, they later went silent and picked up new victims.
The multi-level marketing scheme of Super Life is being promoted once more by Ugandan Facebook influencers on social media in an effort to sign up as many uninformed Ugandans as they can. Super life claims that with continued investments and referrals one can become a millionaire in a very short period of time.
They claim that members can make money by investing in several packages as well as also make money by inviting their friends through referral bonuses. So, the more people one brings onto the platform, the more cash one earns.
One of the main indications that Super Life is a scam is the fact that the promoters are endorsing significant cash bonuses on all referrals, as this is a trait shared by many scam Ponzi schemes.
Communication with most of the Super Life influencers for any feedback or complaints is strictly via Facebook inbox where they sometimes respond or not.
Super Life has several features qualities that make it appear to be a Ponzi scheme, similar to many MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) schemes.
Several promoters of this Ponzi scheme have been arrested in the past by the police after reports of fraud by several communities where they carry out their operations.
Old footage from 2019 of Uganda police officer Afande Babweetera, Minister Betty Kamya and Hon. Theodore Ssekikubo endorsing Super Life are still on the internet and some victims may be tricked with such videos to join the Ponzi Scheme as a way of showing that its authentic.
The current Super Life campaign is aimed towards Ugandans living abroad, particularly those in Dubai. This is the case due to the fact that Super Life recently established offices in Dubai to demonstrate to potential victims that they are legitimate and have a physical location.
In order to get as many Ugandans as possible to sign up with Super Life, there is a Ugandan group or Team that is covertly selling Super Life by fabricating prizes, promotions, charitable giving, car giveaways, etc.
The present influencers and promoters are quite cautious about releasing contact information due to past arrests, as opposed to the past when they would offer phone numbers to answer questions about how to join.
